*Awakened Eyes* Handmade Lampwork Pendant - Mystical Eye Necklaces
It feels so great to be creating again! I guess I'm behind on news, but I left my job at the dispo the first week in May and I'm working fulltime on my art again! So as you might have suspected that means there will be a lot more art you'll be seeing from here on out.
I decided to do a run of my eyelash "Rainy Eyes" and new Eyelash "Awakened Eyes". Since I'm OBSESSED with eyes the spiral eye with eyelashes has been one of my little doodles for a very long time. I even doodle an eye with my signature. The original design was created first on my lampwork dread beads before adapting the design to beads for jewelry.
Here was the very first eyelash eye design. I tried doing eyelashes on the top and bottom of the eye.
After coming up with the eyelashed eye design it was time to create this series of "Rainy Eye" dread beads based on a quote by Amina Mehmood that says, "It's ok to cry when there's too much on your mind, the clouds rain too when things get heavy". I have always been a fan of crying eyes which I drew all over papers on pages of notebook paper in high school so its no wonder they make an appearance in my artwork. The front of the dread beads have an eyelashed spiral crying eye on top of a gorgeous raku striped cane. On the back is a cloud with rainbow colored raindrops.
I love this streaky purple glass so I did another run of these same lampwork eye dread beads. Since I loved the color combo so much I decided to use this for the eye lampwork bead design to create the jewelry.

I created the eyelashed crying eye beads on a sleek straight sided lentil bead since the surface area is perfect for the design as well as being such a comfortable shape to wear.
Hot diggity damn look what I did! Thank you to my Google Pixel 9 Pro for having these cool collage templates so I could show off my handmade lampwork pendants. I even did some model shots wearing my jewelry along with the whole outfit so you can see how to style your necklace.
